داستان این سریال درباره ی یک فرشته رانده شده به نام لوسیفر است که عنوان پادشاه جهنم زندگی کسل کننده ای دارد او تصمیم میگیرد به لس آنجلس نقل مکان کند و یک کلوپ شبانه به ناک لوکس باز کند ولی خدا از این کار او راضی نیست و یک فرشته به نام آمنادییل را میفرستد تا او را قانع کند که به جهنم برگردد Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles, where he has teamed up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker to take down criminals. But the longer he's away from the underworld, the greater the threat that the worst of humanity could escape.
